I need some help.

That's what they all say!

No, really, I am stuck on the Coles.

What, are you burning?

No, I said "Coles, not coals."

Oh!

Here is some detail I have been working on - it is far from complete, but it may suggest some ideas as to where my Cole lot fit in. I think probably to the John & Sarah Cole link.

Here is the Cole Tree cole-samford  and as usual you will need the treedraw  viewer executable

Anyway, my ggg ??? William Wilden / Wilding married Mary Anne Cole in 1875, she was born around 1854. He, I don't have a problem with. But Mary Ann is allegedly the daughter of John and Mary Cole. Unfortunately, this does not fit in with any of the Raydon marriages, so I think this is a mistake on the IGI! I know it is prone to mistakes, like my site.

I have an Abraham Cole in Raydon, in 1841, with children John, Rodger, Robert, Lucy, David & Samuel. Also after 1841, they have children (IGI) . Louisa & Samuel. Also an Abraham is shown  born in 1823.

Then there are two marriages for John & Sarah , i.e. John Cole & Sarah Ratcliff in 1817, then John & Sarah Bird in 1842. I have a miscellania of children from these marriages, including Mary, Elizabeth, John, Benjamin, David, Sarah, Sarah,  Robert, & Esther.

Then there are two children relating to James Cole & Sarah, i.e. William & James. (I am not sure who James & Sarah are. at present)

Then there is one entry for John & Mary, being the parents of Mary Ann Cole in , about1854.

All this info  relates to Raydon, in Suffolk (in the Samford hundred). Raydon 1841 Census

I have checked the 1841 census, the 1851 indexes, and the 1881 census, and all the other info appears to have a lot of substance. What about John & Mary Cole, is this a misprint / bad copy from a fiche ?

This may help - the Coles in Samford in 1851

By using this info, and that of the 1841, 1881 and 1891 census, a tree is formulating.

Any advice welcome on this.
